Terms & Conditions

These terms apply between Wellfield Mechanical, based at 11 Wellfield Road, Cardiff, CF24 3NZ, and the property owner, tenant, or business booking the work. Our services encompass the inspection, maintenance, repair, and replacement of internal water valves, domestic pipework, and associated sanitary fittings within our Cardiff service area.

Appointments are arranged by telephone, electronic form, or email. We provide an initial estimate based on customer descriptions. A final fixed price is presented and agreed before physical work begins. All quotes remain valid for thirty days from the date of issue unless materials costs change significantly.

The client must provide safe, unhindered access to the stopcocks, pipe runs, and fittings scheduled for service at the agreed time. Our engineer carries out the work using recognised plumbing practices and WRAS-approved components. The client must ensure that electricity and main water controls are accessible to allow safe testing.

All prices are stated in British pounds. Payment must be settled upon completion of the visit. We accept payment only by cash on completion or immediate bank transfer against our issued invoice. Card payments and card terminals are not used. Failure to settle invoices upon completion constitutes a breach of these terms.

Clients may cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge provided at least 24 hours notice is given. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may incur a standard call-out charge of 40 pounds to cover vehicle scheduling and reserved time. We reserve the right to reschedule visits in the event of severe weather or engineer illness.

Wellfield Mechanical holds comprehensive public liability insurance covering property damage arising directly from our workmanship. We are not liable for pre-existing pipe fatigue, brittle plastic fittings, or corroded mains that fail outside the direct zone of repair. Any complaint or concern must be reported within seven days of the visit for prompt inspection.

These terms and any work carried out by Wellfield Mechanical are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for the resolution of any dispute.
